‘Rhythmau’r Bryniau
Roedd David Jones yn un o arlunwyr Prydeinig gorau’r ugeinfed ganrif: peintiwr, gwneuthurwr printiau, darlunydd, bardd ac ysgrifwr. Mae’r arddangosfa hon yn canolbwyntio ar ei amser a dreuliodd yng Nghapel-y-ffin yn y 1920au, a ddisgrifiodd fel ‘dechreuad newydd’ yn ei gelfyddyd. Mae’n gyfle prin i weld casgliad mawr o weithiau gwreiddiol David Jones yn cael eu harddangos yn y Gaer.
‘Hill-rhythms’
David Jones was one of the great British artists of the twentieth century: a painter, printmaker, illustrator, poet and essayist. This exhibition centres on his time spent at Capel-y-ffin in the 1920s, which he described as ‘a new beginning’ in his art. It is a rare opportunity to see a large group of David Jones’ original works on display at y Gaer.
