Sir John Lloyd Lecture 2024

The 2024 Sir John Lloyd Lecture was given by Dr Ben Guy , University of Cambridge. Taking as his subject, “Brychan Fact and Fiction” this was bound to be a topic of great local interest. Dr Guy gave an engaging and insightful overview of what is known about the historical figure of Brychan, the times within which he probably lived and details of how the more mythological aspects of the Brychan story developed over time. Of particular interest to the audience was the association with placenames still present in the local landscape.
