Brecknock Society Visit to Gregynog Hall

Gregynog Hall is one of Wales’ treasures, a historic house and garden, set in the beautiful Montgomeryshire countryside.

On Friday 14th June, Elizabeth Siberry , Chair of the Brecknock Society and a Trustee of the Gregynog Trust, led a Society visit to the Hall. Following a talk about the history of the hall and its famous associations with art collectors and benefactors Gwendoline and Margaret Davies, members were able to view the artwork in the building an view amazing limited edition books produced by the Gregynog Press.

A tour of the Grade 1 listed gardens was followed by a visit to  Gwasg Gregynog which continues the traditions of the Gregynog Press today.

Members thanked Dr Siberry for her knowledgeable and interesting insights on what was a thoroughly enjoyable day.
